Established in 1975 and released their first album in 1977. C.A.C Good Woman Choir, Ibadan is led By Mrs D.A Fasoyin. Odun Yi Atura video was the second video of the choir and one of the most celebrated videos and has won many awards to the glory of God. Good Women Choir releases single titled Odun Nlo Sopin. Fasoyin dictates the tunes and the choir replies with joy, peace and good tidings as it preaches the gospel of Christ. Fasoyin, the group which is based in Ibadan is still kicking and alive, wailing from one chorus to another, and employing an effective group-vocal harmony style that identifies gospel with African music in terms of rhythm and the call-and –response pattern of singing. However, under the able leadership of Mrs D.A. Each C.A.C church in Ibadan district nominates 2 married women to the association as their representatives while Good Women Choir metamorphoses from this association.įrom the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and to the 20’s the C.A.C Good Women Choir ruled the scene and established its dominance with good gospel music, an involvement which still remains its main pre-occupation. Fasoyin started as an association of married women of C.A.C churches in the then Ibadan district. Good Women Choir, Ibadan, led by Mrs.D.A.Fasoyin.Ĭ.A.C. The audio was composed and recorded by C.A.C. Ibadan was chosen as location site because the choir's base is Ibadan and we want the people of Ibadan to have a feel of their idols. Odun Yi Atura was shot into video on the 20th October 2006 by Berachah Music Limited at different locations in the city of Ibadan.
